9000 Series MicroCommander Actuator - Model 91100 for Mechanical Throttle & Shift with No Trolling Valve; 0 Control Stations

This upgraded 9000 Series MicroCommander has replaced the original MicroCommander in ZF Mather's product line.

ZF Mathers' most popular Electronic Engine Control System, the 9000 MicroCommander Actuator provides the boat operator with electronic, lever control for engines that have traditional push-pull cable (mechanical) controlled throttles and gear shifts.
Depending on the model selected, the 9000 MicroCommander Actuator/Processor can have plug-in sockets to install as many as 5 electronic control stations (control heads), with the option for one of them to be a wired, mobile, handheld remote control. Only one remote station will have command at a given time and the "Station-in-Command" is indicated by a red light located on the Control Head.

The 9000 MicroCommander is designed for recreational, sport, and commercial vessels with single or twin engines.
One actuator/processor is required for each engine.

Superior to mechanical and hydraulic engine controls with their attendant "cable slop" and "throttle creep", as well as the need for periodic adjustment, the 9000 MicroCommander provides precise electronic shift and throttle control.
A single lever on the electronic control head controls the clutch and throttle cables for each engine via servo motors inside the 9000 MicroCommander actuator module.
With operator control heads mounted virtually anywhere on the vessel, proprietary software provides instant, precise response in any maneuver, under any conditions.

The 9000 MicroCommander sequential operation feature provides safety and protection for engine and transmission — in emergency situations or when docking under adverse conditions. The skipper can maneuver from full ahead to full astern in one quick shift without risk of damaging the drive train or engine.

Electronic control connections to the actuator are via plug-in, shielded electric cables.
Mechanical control connections from the actuator are via standard 33C type push-pull cables.

The 9000 MicroCommander installs easily on new boats, or as a retrofit on an existing vessel.
The processor/actuator unit requires a 12 or 24 volt DC power source and can be mounted wherever convenient, close to the engine, thus keeping mechanical cable runs short and more efficient.

The 9000 MicroCommander has been tested to requirements set by survey societies such as ABS and DNV, and meets ABYC standards for performance and functional testing. It carries the CE mark and is certified for sale in Europe.

Plug-in Installation: The 9000 MicroCommander system components connect via factory made, plug-in wire harnesses for easy installation – eliminating the need for intricate wiring and significantly reducing installation time and labor.
Determine the control processor location and the required number and locations of control stations, then harness lengths for connecting the control head(s) to the processor, engine and gear 33C cable requirements, and you’re ready to plug in the system.
To make it even easier, ZF Mathers can provide custom wiring kits to meet specific needs for production builders.

Push-Button Set-Up: Push-button set-up makes configuring the parameters for your controls easier than ever before. Simply enter in the parameter code and the processor instantly makes the correct adjustments. Changing configurations at a later time to meet new specifications is just as easy.

Start Interlock: A Neutral Start Interlock feature prevents engine start up unless controls are on and in neutral and a station is in command.

Sequencing Technology: Speed/shift sequence protection allows shifting from full ahead to full astern in one motion while preventing damage to the engine or gear. Designed with safety in mind, this sequencing technology allows you to respond instantly to emergency situations.

Synchronization: Engine synchronization is standard. Synchronization automatically maintains the same speed on multiple engines, thereby increasing operating efficiency, improving fuel economy and reducing noise and vibration. One lever operation is available, allowing control of multiple engines and transmissions with one lever.

Multiple Control Stations: The 9000 MicroCommander processor/actuator has the capability of supporting up to five control stations – allowing use of an optional handheld control unit, in addition to multiple mounted control heads.

Built-in Diagnostic Display: The processor features an LED display unit which provides information for set-up, system status, or diagnostic purposes.

Troll: The processor controls mechanical or electronic trolling valves or ZF Autotroll. This feature controls clutch slippage while maintaining slow engine speed and enhancing fuel economy. A full range of shaft speeds remains available from any station, without additional switches.
