6" Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Disc Holder - Type 7 (Aggressive) Hooks

These hook & loop type backing pads are typically used with smaller 4-1/2" right angle grinders having a 5/8"-11 shaft.

Typically used with Scotch-Brite Surface Conditioning Discs, the face of the pad has very aggressive "Tall T-Hooks" (3M Hook Type 7), which bind to the relatively coarse, "high loft", fiber loops on the back of the SB disc.
The large Type 7 hooks hold the SB discs safely and securely.

For Hookit sanding discs, with their relatively fine, "low loft" loops - the Type 7 hooks on these pads are too big to grab the tiny loops.
We recommend using a Hookit™ Sanding Disc Backing Pad - which have much finer Type 1 or 2 J-Hooks - found in our Sanding Abrasives category.
