Roloc TR Disc Pad Assembly - with Shank, Hard, 1" Pad

These rubber backing pads provide firm support for any abrasive or surface conditioning disc equipped with a Roloc TR threaded plastic button.
These include Scotch-Brite™ Roloc Abrasive Discs, Roloc Surface Conditioning Discs, as well as Roloc Bristle Discs and Roloc Clean & Strip Discs.

These pads have a 1/4"-20 internal thread which allows them to be mounted directly to tools with a 1/4"-20 external threaded shaft.
Or they can be used with the included Roloc shank (MMM 45102) to fit common collet chuck tools, such as drill motors

Roloc Disc pads are available in different diameters and hardnesses for various grinding applications —
• Use Medium density (flexible) backup pads when using fine grit Roloc discs, for "surgical sanding", and where flexibility is needed for following contours
• Use Hard (rigid) backup pads for cutting and material removal applications

• Complete Disc Pad Assemblies come with a 1/4-20 x 2" steel shaft and hex adapter with Allen screw.
All pads have 1/4-20 internal threads

• Although the separate backup pads come in more size/hardness combinations (see Related Products), the only Complete Backup Pad Assemblies currently available are shown below

NOTE — To avoid potential injury, use 3M™ Roloc™ TR discs ONLY with 3M Roloc Disc Pads.
The threaded cavity on the 3M pad is matched to the length of the 3M threaded TR stub, so the disc cannot overtighten during use and potentially separate from the stub and fly off.
