The perfect choice for joining hose to Forespar ball valves and seacocks.
These tailpipes (hose adapters) are made from Forespar's high-strength, glass-reinforced, composite polymer, Marelon®.
With abrasion and UV resistance comparable to bronze, and over 3/4 of the strength, Marelon's added 100% corrosion resistance makes it a "no brainer" choice for thru-hulls, valves, and other marine plumbing fittings. Among plastic fittings, Marelon is more than twice as strong as nylon, its next closest rival.
These adapters have NPSM parallel (straight) thread form that requires thread compound or Teflon® tape to seal.
They will work on any metal marine valves or marine fittings with NP parallel threads.
