It takes just an ounce of Gorilla Glue to cover one square foot. That's 3 to 4 times the coverage of other glues. This glue will foam 3 to 4 times its applied size, so a little goes a long way.

Have you ever had a Gorilla glue joint fail after several years?

More than other glues, Gorilla Glue has a learning curve.
Polyurethane Gorilla glue requires a thin glue line, and in most instances must be tightly clamped to achieve adequate surface contact - thus guaranteeing a thin glue line.
Note - polyurethane glues foam as they cure, expanding glue joints and putting pressure on clamps. If the clamping pressure is not adequate, the glue in the joint will be filled with gas bubbles - creating a weak joint.
To avoid this, clamping pressure with polyurethane glues must generally be quite high — much higher than with epoxies, which are capable of gap filling and are typically stronger than the wood itself.
