Heater Relay Kit - for Turbine Fuel Filters, 12V

On Racor Turbine Filters with a fuel heater installed, a relay kit is recommended for activation of the heater circuit due to the heater's high power demand.
The Relay Kit provides high amperage power to the heater using the relay as an independent switch.
The switching circuitry in the relay, can then be operated from a remote location, such as the vessel's ignition switch or a manual toggle switch, via thinner, low amperage wires.

In the case of dual or triple filters, install a dedicated Relay Kit with its own circuit protection for each heater in the filter.
Also, ensure that the vessel's electrical components and wiring can support the power demands of the particular heater(s) used. See below.
