Answering the Cat Call
While Catamarans offer some advantages, these boats are still susceptible to wave action and their unique hull designs can present several trade-offs such as flatter turns, increased yaw or bow steering, and porpoising motions at high speeds.
Optimized for Catamarans
Seakeeper Ride utilizes proprietary variable gain algorithms to optimize its performance on boats of all types and in all sea conditions without special tuning or calibration by the operator. Specific to catamarans, custom software takes catamarans’ unique performance characteristics into account, providing enhanced underway stabilization and enabling catamarans to naturally bank into turns much more like traditional monohull vessels.
Catamaran Installation
For installation on symmetrical and semi-symmetrical hulls, Seakeeper Ride controllers can be mounted on both inboard and outboard sections of each demihull. On asymmetrical hulls, Seakeeper Ride’s controller will be mounted on the outboard section only where there is available space.
How Seakeeper Ride controllers work
Seakeeper Ride controllers are mounted to your boat’s transom, below the waterline. Using custom, proprietary inertial sensing hardware and software, the system understands how the boat is behaving in all three axes and commands deployment of the rotary blades to counteract pitch, roll, and yaw. As the blades are deployed, they create lift at the transom, managing the vessel’s motion instantaneously.
Why it’s better
Wave motions can happen consistently or inconsistently, they can be big or small, and can come from any direction. Often, these motions occur in just milliseconds. Thanks to expert control software and hardware, Seakeeper Ride’s proprietary, rapid-deployment rotary blades make 100 adjustments every second to combat wave motions.
Nothing compares to the first-of-its-kind Vessel Attitude Control System, Seakeeper Ride, which can eliminate up to 70% pitch and roll underway.
Eliminate up to 70% pitch and roll underway
Nothing compares to the first-of-its-kind Vessel Attitude Control System, Seakeeper Ride, which can eliminate up to 70% pitch and roll underway. Our proprietary, rapid-deployment rotary blades make 100 adjustments every second to combat wave motions, providing unmatched performance.
Additional Features
Rapid Actuation
Rotary blades deploy at a rate of up to 300 mm per second, making 100 adjustments every second; enabled by power-dense rotary design that requires just 7-10 Amps for operation.
Full Underway Control
Controls all motions (pitch, roll, yaw) thanks to deployment speed and proprietary control software and hardware.
Intuitive
Predicts motion and responds instantaneously to eliminate them before they’re felt with no buttons to push nor adjustments to make, providing a boating experience you never imagined.
Reliable
Drivetrain is completely sealed in a dry and greased environment with no mechanical exposure to saltwater.
Simple Installation
Easily installed on most transoms, both in new and aftermarket boats.
User Interface
The user interface is compatible with select Garmin, Simrad, and Raymarine MFDs. MFDs are not included in Seakeeper Ride equipment.

Message From Seekeeper regarding Installation...
Seakeeper Ride Partners,
We’re reaching out to inform you of changes to our mechanical installation instructions for Seakeeper Ride aluminum products, which include the Seakeeper Ride 375A, 525A, 750, 750 Quad, 900, 1050, 1125, 1275, and 1500 systems.
We began using an alternative supplier for the coating on the exterior of the Seakeeper Ride aluminum products earlier this year to support the rapid growth in customer demand and to address quality concerns that sometimes occurred on our aluminum products with the previous coating.
Our ongoing testing with the aluminum products indicates that the new coating may not create a sufficient bond with the epoxy adhesives on our approved adhesives list. Therefore, we have updated our instructions to remove epoxies from the approved list of adhesives specifically for Seakeeper Ride aluminum products. Epoxies remain approved and continue to perform exceptionally well with the Seakeeper Ride 450, 525, and 600 systems.
We have updated the adhesives section of the Mechanical Installation Manual on our website to provide instructions for epoxy applications and have reinforced our guidance on when primers need to be used with approved MMAs.
The Seakeeper Ride aluminum products with the new coating can be identified by a yellowish color on the face of the transom plate. If you have installed one of these products since June us
This product can expose you to chemicals which are known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.
