Use with acoustical foams used for splicing panels and for edge sealing.
Sound insulation foam should have all exposed edges sealed to prevent fume and moisture absorption, which will shorten the life of the foam.
Overlap tape 1/2" on foil facing of insulation and fold tape down over exposed edge and on to the rear surface.
Rub surface of tape until maximal adhesion is obtained.
Apply centrally over joints and firmly press into place.
Also apply to all corner joints.
A surprising amount of sound can "leak" through small holes and joints, so complete sealing of your sound barrier insulation is critical.
