CPR Coastal Passage Raft - USCG Approved

SWITLIK’s CPR is designed to be a high quality, light weight, best in class coastal life raft, with a convertible canopy system, large, fast deploying water ballast bags and heat-sealed construction.
The CPR provides 1,140 lb of inflated buoyancy (in saltwater) and 20.1 sq ft of floor area and offers excellent ventilation as well as total protection from the elements.

Board without trouble
Boarding a life raft can feel daunting. The CPR makes it as easy as possible with four (4) boarding stations. The CPR comes standard with four wide, stiffened-rung ladders that make it easy for someone to climb over the single tube.

When there’s a need for speed
The SWITLIK signature convertible canopy feature also allows passengers from any generation to quickly get off your vessel and safely into the raft. Multiple entry points reduce the need for anyone to get in the water.

Compact soft valise case
This compact raft fits almost anywhere and can be launched by anyone on board. The soft valise is 21" (L) x 13" (W) x 10"(H) with a total weight of only 39 lb and can be stowed easily on any boat. A Hard Container is not available for the CPR Coastal Raft.

Be confident your raft is ready
With Switlik's s air charge inflation system, there is now a visible “go/no go” pressure gauge that lets you know your raft is ready to deploy. Time sensitive survival equipment is packed in an external pocket allowing for updating without the cost of servicing the actual life raft.

Capacity *
There is no one universal method of rating raft capacities. In fact, there are several different methods and governmental agencies worldwide that rate the capacity of a life raft based on the following criteria: usable floor area, inflated buoyancy, size of an average individual, and their concept of how long someone might be in the raft before rescue, not to mention how you find yourself to be there, i.e. from a sinking vessel or a ditched aircraft.
As a result, Switlik takes the position that a life raft's capacity is truly defined by its total size in floor area and inflated buoyancy. How many "people" that translates into depends upon your usage and interpretation of the above criteria.
A raft that might safely support 6 or 8 people in an emergency for 24 hours will seem a lot smaller for a transoceanic passage where rescue might be weeks in coming.
SOLAS and USCG recommendations based on floor area (sq ft)/4, indicate the capacity of this Switlik CPR raft is about 5 persons (at 182 lb each). You might be interested in referring to the accompanying photos in making your own evaluation.
