As a specialty item, these Tylaska shackles are joined together at the bails. This arrangement is ideal for temporarily holding the guy during a running spinnaker change, or "peel" as it is sometimes called.
Using an elaborate molding technique, Tylaska casts the two bails linked together as one unit, eliminating weakness from cutting and welding as is normally done by the competition. Two Tylaska trigger shackles are then fitted to the linked bail to produce a peeling strap or "handcuffs." Other configurations are available by special order, including welded ring versions and individual linked bails.
