Description
Use this solid stainless steel cover plate to secure the vent opening when desired during storms, winter lay-up, or if the cowls are removed for security or storage.
In use, the Monel insect screen will prevent mosquitoes and snakes from entering your boat through the vent.
These items can be used with both Flexible PVC and Stainless Steel Cowl Ventilators.
Simply loosen the collar ring, remove the cowl, insert the insect screen or cover plate, and replace the cowl.
If the cowl is to be completely removed for storage, you can unscrew the flange on the bottom of the cowl to release the collar ring. Or you can purchase a spare collar and deck ring set; see Accessory Products, below.
In either case, the collar ring can then be used to secure the solid cover plate in place on the dorade box.
