Description
Teflon® (PTFE)/Flax packing is braided from flax roving that has been impregnated with Teflon. It is a big step up from traditional flax packing.
Although the underlying flax matrix is still subject to degradation over time, the Teflon lubricants last longer because they are resistant to the frictional heat generated by the rotating shaft.
