NOTE: the gates on these particular carabiners are significantly stiifer to operate than other carabiners.

• BL is static load at which total failure, by rupture or deformation, occurs
• Safety Snap Hooks are made of Wichard's HR, high resistance, 17.4 PH alloy, one of the strongest available in marine hardware. This slightly magnetic alloy is used in Wichard's top-end products.
(Note: the second hole in the Safety Snap increases the structural strength, but has no function in use.)
