The Sirius Signal SOS Distress Light is a new alternative to pyrotechnic marine flares and flare guns.  The Sirius light is the first and only LED visual distress signal device accepted to completely replace dangerous and environmentally harmful pyrotechnic flares while still complying with all U.S. Coast Guard requirements for “Night Visual Distress Signals”.
